The SpeakEasy

Prohibition is over at the SpeakEasy

Local’s Favorite

The SpeakEasy is one of the go-to bars for locals and tourists alike. It can be found in the Chamber of Commerce Plaza and offers an unobstructed view of one of the canals Marco Island is famous for. The restaurant’s name, of course, pays homage to the city of Chicago where gangsters dominated bars and establishments which illegally sold alcohol during the Prohibition era.

Menu Variety

Lunch and dinner is served daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in a casual environment. As one would expect, Chicago Deep Dish Pizza dominates the menu with a choice of more than 10 specialty pizzas. Guests can also create their own pizza and opt for a thin crust or gluten-free crust for an extra charge.

The restaurant also caters to local favorites with a separate fresh seafood and fish menu. Some of the standouts include a pan-seared Hogfish Snapper, Mahi Mahi, and Grouper Limone. Steak and chicken dishes are also available as well as a large selection of sandwiches.

The restaurant offers specials Wednesday through Saturday night, including Twin Maine Lobster Tails and Baby Back Ribs.

Prohibition is over

True to its name, SpeakEasy offers a large selection of Island-inspired mixed beverages, Craft Cocktails as well as wine and beer. The dessert menu also includes a selection of “Dessertinis” and after dinner drinks.

Karaoke

Guests can enjoy Karaoke night on Thursday and Saturday. Live entertainment is also offered Sunday afternoon and varies week to week.

The Sun King’s Review of The SpeakEasy

The Sun King enjoys beer responsibly. He thinks The SpeakEasy is one of the best places on Marco to have one. The island vibe is in full effect here. Just kick back on the deck and enjoy the afternoon. While most people come for the drinks, the food is good too.
