Big Al's Deli on Marco Island

The Local’s Deli

Big Al’s is known for serving guests simple but tasty deli sandwiches and operates a takeout deli Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. The deli offers Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, salads, and hot foods too. The meatballs are a favorite.

Marco Island vacationers are usually busy doing fun stuff. Big Al’s is a perfect place to grab lunch on the run.

Big Al’s Menu

The menu includes something for everyone from a combo sandwich with three kinds of meat to a vegetarian-friendly cheese sandwich. No sandwich is complete without a side and Big Al’s offers deli favorites, including potato salad, coleslaw, and kosher pickles.

Hot meal options include Homemade Meatballs, Pastrami Melt, Hot Dogs, and more. The restaurant also offers a selection of salads with multiple dressing options. Box lunches are also available for customers.

Kids 10-years and under can choose one of five very kid-friendly items like Grilled Cheese and Peanut Butter & Jelly. Guests place an order at the counter and wait for their number to be called.

Big Al’s caters to local workers who mostly take their orders to go but indoor and patio seating is readily available.

Review sites like TripAdvisor and Yelp consistently highlight the quality of Big Al’s products. Guests also like the more homey environment Big Al’s offers, especially compared to national restaurant chains which are often a little tired.

Big Al’s is located at 715 Bald Eagle Dr, just a block or so north of Collier Blvd. in the Pelican Plaza. While you’re there, pick up some fresh seafood next door at Paradise Seafood and Gourmet Market to grill up at your vacation rental property.

The Sun King’s Review of Big Al’s

The Sun King loves Big Al’s. It’s really a local’s sandwich shop – probably the best-kept secret on the island for great food at reasonable prices. The Boar’s Head meat is always a notch up from what you can get at Subway. The people that work there are warm and friendly. There’s plenty of seating, but sandwiches are great to carry to the beach or back to your rental property or hotel as well.
