Verdi has been serving upscale American Bistro fare since 1998 in an “island casual” environment (dressy sandals are acceptable). Everything served is homemade and prepared with the freshest ingredients, even the bread. Verdi’s is fine dining, but you won’t find the prices unreasonable for a Marco Island restaurant.
Verdi’s is open for dinner service Monday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and stays open an extra 30 minutes on Sunday. Reservations are highly suggested from November through April. Verdi’s is located at 241 N Collier Blvd, close to all of the
beach condos and easy to get to from your rental unit.
The
dinner menu includes a selection of local seafood, pasta dishes, and various cuts of steaks. House specialties include a New Zealand Rack of Lamb, Pork Prime Rib, Chilean Sea Bass, and Crispy Duck. Guests with smaller appetites have eight options to choose from, including a chicken dish with veggies and garlic mash. Kids are welcome and the kid’s menu will please the pickiest of eaters.
All entrees include a house salad or guests can pay a minimal upcharge for a Caesar or Spinach Salad.
Wine is offered by the bottle, including the Wine Spectators’ 2018 Wine of the year, a 2015 Sassicaia for $195. The restaurant also serves wine by the glass.
Desserts are homemade with notable standouts including a Whiskey Bread Pudding, German Chocolate Cake, and the quintessential Florida favorite, Key Lime Tart.
Verdi’s is one of the Sun King’s “go-to” restaurants for date nights with the Sun Queen. The food is consistently excellent. The atmosphere of the small dining room is elegant and cozy. The Sun King usually goes for a fish, but the filet mignon is great. The Sun Queen likes the Chicken Phyllo. The wine prices are reasonable.
